Tom Cohen EDUCATION

I began my journey as an English Major.  I aspired to teach at the college level.  My Mom and my Aunts were teachers or professors.  They talked me out of it.  I still remember my mother asking me, “Do you love it?”  She continued to say, “then don’t teach.”  And yet I still ended up teaching in some fashion and in multiple settings.

So I began my search for meaningful work. This led me to a decade of working with adults with Developmental Disabilities, Autism, and Homeless persons. 

As I struggled to make ends meet, I segued into my nearly two-decade long practice in Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine.  I am now at the beginning of my goal to become a registered Dietician Nutritionist.
