"A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step" - Lao Tzu
What is your sport or activity? Wouldn’t it be nice for your acupuncturist to understand the body movements and systems necessary to maintain or improve your performance? Your acupuncturist is not an elite athlete. But he is a martial artist (both student and teacher) for almost 25 years. If you can understand how to manipulate a body to protect yourself, then you can understand how to return the body to a state of health and performance. This exam is geared towards strengthening and balancing systems involved with your specific sport or activity.
The core questions help your acupuncturist to identify your goals.
Where are you? Where do you want to go? Is there anything keeping you?
The S.E.T. Performance exam uses Chinese medical and S.E.T. assessments to establish a baseline, create an initial plan and to give you a way to measure progress at each step.
You’ll learn how to effectively track and measure to reach goals with realistic expectations. This is key! Your Acupuncturist uses this information to optimize treatment.
Not everyone “learns” in the same manner or at the same pace. The S.E.T. exam establishes your baseline. You will set goal(s) and we’ll gather the diagnostics to individualize a plan
Treatment is not “one-size-fits-all.” Are you a “fast” learner? You may know this. You may even have some experience with Acupuncture.
But we need to establish how quickly you respond based on your goals and the initial 4 treatments. This will determine how to get you moving towards your goal most quickly and efficiently. S.E.T. is different. You will receive assessment and reassessment to customize your treatment at each step towards your goal.
