“At the center of your being you have the answer; you know who you are and you know what you want.” ― Lao Tzu
This evaluation is geared towards your specific Health Goals
The core questions help your acupuncturist to identify your goals. Where are you? Where do you want to go? Is there anything keeping you?
The S.E.T. Performance evaluation is an Education that will empower you and your Acupuncturist to create goals and make informed decisions.
Have you ever had opportunity to actually meet your doctor before entering treatment? Ask questions? You know, see if it seems like the right fit for your goals?
The evaluation gives you the chance to answer:
Who is your Acupuncturist and what are their unique qualifications?
What services and skills do they offer me to help me reach my goal?
What should I expect?
Designed specifically for your Health Goals
Are you satisfied with your health? Do you want to stay healthy and prevent illness? Or do you have a specific health goal in mind?
This examination is a survey of the body systems that either promote health or generate states that can lead to disease. This stage isn’t about calling a fire a fire. That would be a description of where you are now. We want to know how the fire started. We want to identify the conditions that could lead to another fire. And we don’t simply wish to turn off the fire alarm. We want to move the pile of old newspapers that is sitting next to the lighter fluid, that is nestled with your furnace.
S.E.T. and Chinese Medicine can be ways to monitor, regulate, and normalize function.
The examination includes Chinese Medical assessment, which is done fully clothed. There is a pulse assessment to take a “snapshot” of the 12 primary body systems and the 5 primary categories of systems.
The tongue assessment provides key information about the circulatory and digestive, as well as reinforcing information gathered from your health history and exam.
Treatment is passive. Training is Active!
Your treatment begins with a short term recommendation. If available, we’ll choose the fastest strategy to see whether or not you’re responding. Remember, we aren’t just treating primary symptoms. We’re treating the root causes, and this can take time. What should not take time is getting some response.
The bottom line – If symptoms keep coming back, you’re not in “maintenance mode.” And if things have progressed to the point where they’re interfering with what your doctor would call your “vitals,” then more immediate intervention is needed.
